HOW TO PERFORM CPR

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, is an emergent process performed on people suffering from cardiac arrest. CPR for children is same to CPR for grownups. The compression to respiration ratio is 30:2. If you are alone with a child give 2 minutes of CPR prior to ringing 911. Check the victim for unresponsiveness. If the person is not responsive and not breathing or not breathing normally. Call 911 and return to the victim. If possible, bring the phone next to the person and place on speaker mode. In most locations the emergency dispatcher can assist you with CPR instructions.

Here is how to Perform CPR.

Firstly, upon Observation, if the person is unresponsive and not breathing or not breathing normally. CALL for help immediately and keep the phone when next to the person and make sure the phone is placed on speaker mode.

Next, If the victim is still not breathing normally, coughing or moving, begin chest compressions. Use the heel of one or two hands
to PUSH down the center of the chest 2-2.4 inches 30 times. Make sure that you PUMP the sternum fast and hard approximately one-third the depth of the chest (about 2 inches) at the rate of 100-120/minute.

Then, shift the head back and listen for breathing. If still not breathing normally, pinch nose and cover the mouth with yours and BLOW until you see the chest rise. Give 2 breaths. Each breath should take 1 second.
